Industrial epoxy flooring is a layered coating system — a primer, a 100% solids epoxy build coat, then a wear topcoat — installed over properly prepared concrete to give plants, warehouses, shops and garages one seamless, easy-to-clean floor. Everything below is what McKinnon supplies to build one.
Start with MVB Fast Cure Moisture Barrier, a 100% solids, zero-VOC primer for damp or difficult slabs that cures in four to six hours and opens its recoat window at four — so a crew can grind, prime and topcoat in the same day. Build on it with Industrial Floor Epoxy Clear: 100% solids, zero VOC, self-leveling, with 25 to 35 minutes of work time and resistance to cracking, chipping and hot tire pick-up.
Polyaspartic Clear Floor Coating is 85% solids and zero VOC with anti-yellowing UV resistance; it goes down 2 to 8 mils, covers 200 to 800 square feet per gallon and is walkable in 6 to 10 hours. The 2-Part Water-Based Urethane is the low-odor choice, offered in gloss or matte, accepting light traffic at 24 hours and heavy traffic at 72. Where floors get wet, mix in the non-skid flooring additive; for a decorative finish, broadcast epoxy floor flake into the wet coat.
Manufacturing floors and warehouses, mechanical and auto shops, commercial kitchens and food service, hospitals and schools, plus residential garages. The zero-VOC chemistry means no solvent smell and no ventilation plan, which is what makes these coatings workable in occupied buildings.
Notched squeegees, roller frames, covers and mixing gear are in Tools & Accessories. If the space is a showroom, lobby or retail floor where appearance leads, compare the Metallic Floor Epoxy collection instead.
